Since she was going to be here for L’s birthday anyways, Cindi brought all the Christmas gifts she had for the kids and we did a 2nd Christmas before she left.
I think the kids love their Snuggies more than anything else

Lily’s 2nd Birthday Party

Sorry for the delay in posting this. My PC died on Friday and I’m just now back up and running.

Lily’s 2nd Birthday Party was on the 23rd of January. We had lots and friends and family over for princess dress up and cupcakes.

Doctor Update

We went to the doctor the other day since Brendan and Lily were both sick.
They sent us home with half a pharmacy

And a nebulizer

Brendan seems to be doing better. Lily was doing better, then yesterday her cough got worse. We’re hoping after a full day today of more abx, cough meds, and breathing treatments, she’ll be well enough to not have to go back tomorrow. If she’s still sounding bad, we’ll be calling the pediatrician in the morning.

What a buncha sickies

Welp, our family has the sickies.
Sunday night, Brendan developed a fever which quickly sprang up into the 103 range. It was followed by complaints of headaches, terrible coughing, and not much else. Right as his fever subsided on Wednesday, Lily developed a fever and continued her yucky cough. Now on Thursday morning, Brendan has been complaining of ear pain.
It’s now 8:00 so I guess it’s time to call the pediatrician.
Lily had a well baby check for tomorrow, but that’ll have to canceled anyways b/c they can’t vax her while she’s sick. So I’m going to try to get them in to the doctor today.
For the time being, Brendan has gotten Motrin for his ear and is watching Disney, and Lily has gotten Robitussin and Motrin (for her fever) and is passed out in the doorway to our bedroom.

Hard to believe that our baby is 2 today.
2 years ago, we headed into the hospital around 6:30 in the morning to start our induction. Lily was only 1 day past her EDD, but her EDD was significantly flawed, and I had progressed very far on my own already.
We were excited and nervous for what was to come
Her induction went very smoothly and she was born after about 4-5 pushes. She had her cord wrapped tightly around her neck, which caused her heartrate to drop with each contraction. But once she was out, she was golden :love
7lbs, 10oz. 21.5″ long. She was complete perfection

Last year on this day we celebrated Lily’s first birthday :lol She loves her cupcakes

And this year we are so excited to celebrate her 2nd birthday :love She’s coming such a strong, independent little girl.

Today she is 23.4 lbs and 2′9.5″ tall

What a sad day

Well, I have some very sad news. Due to a glitch with our database, and the atrocious customer service of 1&1.com, we have forever lost EVERY blog post from the last nearly 6 years. I’ve been posting since I was pregnant with Brendan, and now all of it is gone I’m completely heartbroken and feel as if we’ve lost a family member. This is, I suppose, the digital worlds equivalent to losing your baby books in a housefire. While we try to regroup and reassemble what we can, please take a moment to shoot me an email at jackiereitz @ gmail.com (remove the spaces) if you have any photos/videos/information that I might forget. Any help is greatly appreciated as I begin the daunting task of trying to recreate over 2,000 days worth of information about our families lives

Today is a sad day. It’s 10 years since my Grandfather passed away. I remember absolutely everything about that day with impeccable detail. Funny how some things stick with you.

Lots of updates

We moved into the house, Then Brendan and I went to San Diego to see my grandparents, then Brendan got sick on vaca, then I got sick when we got home. (busy, i know!) now we are both healthy and trying to get back into the swing of things!

well, tomorrow is the big day. we start moving things into the house tomorrow and the big stuff (furniture, etc) goes in on sunday. we’re all so excited! Our internet will be down until Tuesday (starting on Saturday) so we won’t be around, but look forward to hearing from everyone!

On the 20th, my Nana will be coming all the way from Ohioh to California to come see me! She’ll be here for 10 days and I just can’t wait to show her all my tricks!
