Brendan’s growth chart and his updated room

Several months ago we set up Brendan’s room space themed. Since then we’ve added several things, so I thought I’d share pics.
One of the things we added was a growth chart I made for him this week.
Here are some photos that show the entire room, as well as the growth chart.

Brendan doesn’t go back to the Doctor for a few more weeks, so I weighed him at home. We are finally to 19.7lbs! YAY!!! He’s only .3lbs away from front facing in the car! How exciting!

Brendan went to the Dr today b/c he was sick.

He’s 30 inches long and just barely over 19lbs.

Length: 27.5 inches according to the nurse…. but we all know she was wrong b/c she measured him at 26 inches the first time and he was more than that 2 months ago, LOL. She ACTUALLY got 27.75 from the ankle, but wrong down 27.5… so in all reality, it was more like 28″. We’ll stick with 28 inches.

Weight: The nurse got him at 19.7lbs, but we both think that was wrong too b/c instead of weighing him naked on the infant scale like they’ve always done, she had him sit on the adult scale while wearing sneakers (heavy ones at that!), khakis, a onesie, a diaper, and a jacket. When I got home, i reweighed him and 18.17lbs.

Today was my 6 month check up. The nurse messed up a bunch at the beginning, but once Dr. Wolfe got there, things got better. I got 5 shots in 4 needles and I got my tongue clipped. I was a real champ through all of it and barely cried at all. Luckily Daddy was there for this appointment as reinforcement

Today was Brendan’s 4 Month Well-Baby Checkup. He was supposed to have 4 shots, but they were out of one of them so we have to go back for that one next week whenever the shipment comes in. He’s 14lb14oz and 26.5inches. Healthy, Happy and starting solids fulltime!

Today was my 2 month check up! I got three shots, during which i cried at first, but ended up falling asleep shortly after. They weighed me and found out I am 11lbs and 14 ounces, and I’m 24 inches long! I have a mild case of infant excema, but mommy is gunna take care of that for me!

Today our Baby Scale came! YAY! We weighed Brendan when we got it and it read 10.45lbs, although when I took the picture he had just eaten 4 ounces, so the “10.75″ reading isn’t quite right.

One month old

Today was Brendan’s one month check up. He passed with flying colors. He’s now 22.5inches and 9.6lbs. his head is 13 inches! Everything else checked out wonderfully, but it looks like he’ll need to have his tongue clipped and he’s tongue tied – which isn’t all that suprising since both JR and I were also. His next appointment (aside from his apt with the ENT for his tongue) is Aug 19th @ 8:30 and he’ll be getting his shots that day. (Mom isn’t looking forward to that!)
