This week we made playdough with the kids, and they are loving it! The recipe I used was really simple, cheap, fast, and the consistency is identical to storebought playdough.

Today was Jordan and Drews last day of school, so they invited us to Beth Marie’s for some Icecream!

On May 13th, we headed over to Brendan’s new school to check it out, tour the classrooms, and register him for school.
He got to see all the art rooms, music and computer rooms, kinder classrooms, the playground, library and more.
He loved the school and did so well during the presentations.
That night, one of my sessions was cancelled due to impending severe weather. Once it got to around 6:30, though, it was clear that no storms were coming. So we packed up the kids and headed back to the Elementary School for their “Family Night” event. Hula Hooping contests, a book fair and more. Brendan was in heaven (and Lily really enjoyed following him around )

This is our 2nd year going out and doing pics of the kids in the bluebonnets. Normally I take an entire day of sessions and fit the kids in during an open spot or my lunch time.
This year I did theirs before my appointments.

We haven’t done a video of Brendan in a while, and I’m trying to get back in the habit of doing more of them.

A few weeks ago, we hit up a parking lot Carnival with grandma and grandpa.
We rode on lots of great rides and the kids had a blast

Last time Josh, Amber and Cindi were in town, we hit up Babes near our house, and the kids all did the Hokey Pokey in front of the restaurant with the waitresses

A month or so ago, we took the kids to the arboretum to have Jen Mazy do their photos again. The last time she was us I was crazy pregnant and Brendan was still so tiny (about Lily’s size/age now)

I’ve been neglecting the blog lately. For a multitude of reasons, really. For starters, I’ve had strep for almost 4 weeks. I went to florida for a weekend to shoot a beach wedding. Lily has had RSV 2x in 8 weeks. And I just got over food poisoning. Oh, and spring break was in there somewhere too.
I’d like a break please. LOL

Today Brendan had a great day at school. He had a small incident with a boy knocking him over, but he told his teacher that it was an accident so it was okay <3

Lily and I spent the morning finishing a project I’ve been working on. We found a broken and weathered old bench by someones garbage can on the way to the airport (for the trip mentioned above), and JR kindly dragged it home for me. I primed and painted the metal and bought/stained new wood and rebuilt it. It looks awesome and is finally done.

This afternoon we hung out around the house (I’m still really sick, so being up too much makes my head throb) getting stuff ready for this weekends garage sale. It’s a Charity garage sale with a portion of the proceeds going to the 3day.

The kids will be out selling water and pink lemonade to garage salers. Should be fun

Will do my absolute best to check in tomorrow, but don’t hate me if I fall off the wagon again. Time to go take some antibiotics… and NyQuil… and Tylenol. Ughhh

I’ve been laid up with Strep for almost 2 days now, so last night we played a game where I told Brendan an object and he would draw it. The “game” didn’t last long, because I said Cat
